albinobone Very utilitarian listening. It has purpose, and that purpose is to insulate you from the mosquitos of life. It's like taking a cozy, drunk nap in a gauzy quilt of cotton batting. Favorite track: Side A.

about

Solo psych drone project by Gabe Holcombe who runs the Chicago Lillerne Tapes label. The sounds have a high whoosh factor, as though the stuff was recorded in a wind tunnel with reverb set to full flop. There's a meatiness here that's a bit unusual inside this context, and the proggy synth that starts moving around after a bit adds a sweet pinch of smoke to the air. - Byron Coley, The Wire magazine, April 2014
